The Code of the Brethren

Preamble

IN order to maintain a stable society, secure the bonds of brotherhood, and ensure the
security of the values of manhood, we the Brethren affirm this code.

Article 1

Section 1:
THE Code of the Brethren shall be informally known as the Bro Code.

Section 2:
THERE shall be a council appointed for the purpose of governing the Brethren, enforcing the
code, and leading the Brethren in times of need.
Subsection A: This council shall be known as the Council of Elders.
Subsection B: The manner of appointment shall be annually, by unanimous consent of the
Council. Once appointed, each Council member shall serve for a period of two (2) years.
Subsection C: This Council can appoint lesser councils.
Subsection D: This Council shall also have the authority to settle a dispute by a twothirds (2/3) majority vote, provided the involved parties approach the Council of their
own volition.

Article 2

Section 1:
THIS article shall consist primarily of the proper treatment of the Sistrine.

Section 2:
ALL Brethren shall provide any and all Sistrine respect that the Sister deserves. This includes,
but is not limited to; allowing the Sister the shotgun seat in a car, yielding a seat to a
Sister, opening the door for a Sister, etc.
Subsection A: Any jokes made at the expense of a Sister, or that degrades a Sister, shall
be considered in violation of this section.

Section 3:
ANY Brother found in violation of this article shall be subject to immediate suspension of their
ManCard, accompanied by an Action of Sorrow decided upon by the Council of Elders.

Section 4:
WHEN seated, there shall, at all times, be space between two Brethren for a Sister. This shall be
remembered by the maxim Between every bro must be space for a doe. However,
certain circumstances may require that this rule be lifted; for example, when there are
more Brethren than seats provided.

Section 5:
WHEN in the presence of a Sister, a Brother may not cuss unless the Sister cusses first. If such is
the case, then the Brother is allowed one (1) cuss per cuss of the Sister, and it can only be
of equal or lesser severity.

Section 6:
IF it shall be found that a Brother has caused bodily harm to a Sister, there shall be a trial of his
actions. If he is found guilty of intentionally causing harm, and initiating the violence, his
ManCard shall be immediately and permanently terminated, and his name listed on the
List of the Omitted.
Subsection A: There shall be a list made, and a record kept, of those who have been
omitted.

Article 3

Section 1:
SINCE a Brothers word is his honor, whenever a Brother gives his word, he is bound. If a
Brother fails to continue in the endeavor to which he committed to without reasonable
cause, he shall be subject to immediate suspension of his ManCard, accompanied by an
Action of Sorrow, and if he is a member of the Council of Elders, a demotion from
authority.

Section 2:
ANYTHING which a Brother confides to another Brother, which is not meant to reach anothers
ears, shall be hereby protected by this section, known as the Trust Clause.
Subsection A: The penalty for the violation of the Trust Clause shall be a suspension of
the Brothers ManCard, the length of which shall be determined by the Council of Elders.

Section 3:
A Brother may receive commendations for chivalrous actions by unanimous vote of the Council
of Elders.
Subsection A: There shall be a list made, and a record kept, of those who have been
commended.

Article 4

THE manner for making amendments to the Code of the Brethren shall be as follows; the person
who wishes to make the amendment shall bring the amendment in its full written form to
the Council of Elders, who shall then determine whether or not to accept the amendment
by a two-thirds (2/3) majority vote.

Postamble

BY unanimous vote of the Council of the Elders, the undersigned accept and affirm the Code of
the Brethren for the afore stated reasons in the Preamble.
