the main way
to further a
business
during this
time period.
Carnegie used
vertical
integration, which is running all steel factories.
Rockefeller used horizontal integration where he
had most control and buyout the others when they
went bankrupt. This connects to the laws of
monopolies put in place today. They say that one
company cannot control the whole market the way
Carnegie controlled steel and Rockefeller controlled
kerosene.
