What is Independent Study


Mentorship?

The independent study mentorship program is a course offered at Clear Springs High
School which allows students to shadow a professional in their workplace and learn
about the career of the Mentor.

My Mentor

Rob Bluhm
Received his B.S in Physical Therapy in 1990 at UTMB
Recipient of the 1992 Foster Boston Memorial Award
Outstanding clinical Educator in 1994
Practiced in a variety of work settings from large teaching hospitals to the private
sector.

What is B.P.P.V?

Benign paroxysmal positional vertigo is a disorder arising in the inner ear. Its
symptoms are repeated episodes of positional vertigo, that is, of a spinning sensation
caused by changes in the position of the head. BPPV is the most common cause of the
symptoms of vertigo.

Conclusion

Throughout the course of this presentation I hope that I have furthered your
knowledge of B.P.P.V and the treatment options, that way if you or someone you know
is suffering from Benign Paroxysmal Positional Vertigo you know what options are
available and how to seek them.

his busy schedule to let me shadow and learn from him, but also being an amazing
educator and friend. He has defiantly made this experience one that I will continue to
grow from and I intend take this knowledge into whatever career I choose to pursue. I
would also like to thank my ISM teacher Mrs. Kristi Click for making this course happen
and giving me the opportunity to be involved in this program.
