In-House Instrument Calibration Procedure before Commence the Job

1. Setting Up Laser Tracker


1.1. Tracker Head mount on tripod
1.2. LAN cable and Humidity Temperature sensor need connect to MCU.

2. Instrument Internal Calibration test


2.1. Warm-up check
2.2. Health Check**
2.3. Operational Check**
2.4. Adjust tripod to gravity level**
2.5. Self-compensation
2.6. Angular Accuracy Check
2.7. Level Check**
**not applicable for API Laser Tracker

3. Gauge R&R test (In-house 20C)


3.1. Carry out length check using 700mm gauge block
3.2. Repeat the measurement 3X
3.3. Check for consistent result
# Instrument is in good condition if the entire tests above pass.

On Site-Instrument Calibration Procedure before Commence the Job

3. Gauge R&R test


3.1. Carry out length check using 750mm OD Micrometre calibrated rod
3.2. Repeat the measurement 3X
3.3. Check for consistent result

4. Place the control points


4.1. Direct and guide laser beam from laser tracker to location of the affixed drift nests.
4.2. Survey and record all readings of the drift nest locations.
4.3. Ensure that the 1.5 SMR is positioned and seated firmly onto the target holder when
reading is being recorded.

5. Temperature Compensation
5.1. Check and survey temperature readings for workpiece.
5.2. If temperature is above 20C, temperature compensation is to be applied.
