Assignment Details:
1. Assume you must write an APA paper about a business topic of your choice.
You will research your topic and practice your APA referencing and citation
skills. This means you will create a Reference list and provide sample
citations of each. You will not actually write a paper. This assignment
is not about the content of your research; it is about gathering your
sources and using APA format.
2. Include a cover page, in APA format, identifying the assignment number and
what your business topic is.
Part One The Reference List (20 marks 2 marks eachpartial marks
given)
Create a Reference list that contains at least 10 different references related to your
topic. Please see the posted APA handout for examples of each. Include the
following reference type:
1. One journal article with one author
2. One journal article with more than one author
3. A website
4. One book with one author
5. One book with more than one author
6. A newspaper article
7. An image/chart/video clip/audio clip
8. A government website
9. An educational institutions website
10.A magazine article
Part Two Citations (10 marks I mark each)
Practice writing citations. Please see the posted APA handout for examples of
each. Create ten citations (content is not what it is graded; correct citation format
is). Meet the following citation criteria:
1. Three citations should be direct quotes with the citation at the end of the
sentence/phrase.
2. Three citations should be paraphrases with the citations at the end
sentence/phrase.
3. Two citations should be a direct quote using the author/year within the
sentence or at the beginning of the sentence.

4. Two citations should be a paraphrase using the author/year within the

sentence or at the beginning of the sentence.
