Assistant to Dr. Carlos Abril and Dr. Maud Hickey, Choral Conducting
with Dr. Robert Harris and Dr. Amy Weller, Wind Conducting with Dr.
Mallory Thompson, Orchestral Conducting with Victor Yampolsky,
Bowings with Dr. James Kjelland, Graduate Assistant Conductor to
University Chorale, University Chorus and University Singers.
Taught 6th, 7th and 8th grade general music class in areas of music
history and theory, piano, rhythm, movement, musical form, and voice.
Implemented Bernice McCarthys 4MAT model of teaching to address
varying student learning needs. Adapted classroom instruction for
mainstreamed students with special learning needs. Integrated
Critical Pedagogy for Music Education into the curriculum.
