Oversaw all aspects of the high school choral music program.
Conducted four curricular choral ensembles composed of over 200
students including the Womens Choir (Freshman choir) Concert
Choir, Symphonic Choir and Vocale Ensemble (Auditioned Select
Choir). Also directed two extra-curricular a capella groups. Rehearsed
and prepared music of various levels and genres for performance.
Engaged students in critical thinking and problem solving. Addressed
issues of student diversity and taught strategies that address
multiplicity of intelligences and learning styles. Accompany choirs on
piano in rehearsal and performance. Choirs were invited to perform at
Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, with Peter Nero and the Philly Pops at
the Kimmel Center, The Kennedy Center and on NBC television. Major

Auditioned Chamber Choir selected out of 200+ high schools as the


2011 winners of the B101.1 Christmas Choir Competition. Students
won $5000 for the school music program, performed with Peter Nero
and the Philly Pops Orchestra, and appeared live on the Michael and
Tiffany Morning Show.

Traveled with students abroad in a five-country European choral tour


for over two weeks. Conducted and supervised students while
traveling in France, Germany, Austria, Italy, and Switzerland with
Hillary Colton, Laurie Lausie, Michael Schmidt and Helen Stanley.

WEST WINDSOR-PLAINSBORO-COMMUNITY MIDDLE SCHOOLPrinceton, NJ

Taught 7th and 8th grade choir composed of 120 students and 6th grade
choir composed of 70 students. Rehearsed and prepared music of
various styles and genres for performance. Engaged students in
critical thinking and problem solving. Addressed issues of student

intelligences and learning styles. Accompanied choirs on piano in


rehearsal and performance. Prepared 6th grade choir for a major

Implemented Bernice McCarthys 4MAT model of teaching to address
varying student learning needs. Adapted classroom instruction for
mainstreamed students with special learning needs. Integrated
Critical Pedagogy for Music Education into the curriculum.

Director of Pitch Black: After school vocal ensemble composed of 25


middle school boys. Prepared select repertoire of all styles for
auditioned group.

Music Director of School Musical, The Sound of Music. Prepared and


adapted vocal music for rehearsal and conducted pit orchestra for
performance.

Director of Panthertones, faculty choir. Founder and director of a


choir composed of 45 faculty members representing all departments
at the school. Rehearsed once a week before school and performed at
season concerts.

repertoire for weekly rehearsals. Conducted music in bi-monthly
performance at Sunday church services. Collaborated with Director of

Rehearsed and conducted honors level high school choir in
performances of newly commissioned choral works as well as Bach
Magnificat, Honneger King David, Orff Carmina Burana, Mozart

the Broadway Musical Once on this Island. Supervised overnight
