The article Snapchat Responds to Chatter About Privacy Policy


Change is about the confusion among Snapchat app users about the
privacy policy change recently made. There were rumors circulating
that the app can now keep every picture and message sent in between
its users. They addressed the issue by stating that the users still have
privacy and control over their content.

The author is Nitish Kulkarni. He is qualified because he majors is


mechanical engineering in college

This information is trustworthy, it has the link to the statement given


by snapchat on the apps website.

e) Purpose why was it written, to inform, sell, persuade? Is there a bias or is the
material objective?
This was written to inform and the material is objective

5. Compare the Internet and Journal articles

Compare the Internet article 1 and DB article 1 based on the following criteria. Use
a separate paragraph for each criteria.
a) Ease of access
The internet article is easier to access than the database article. With the
database article, the search had to be narrowed down. The database
article also had to be a scholarly journal. As opposed to the internet
article, which was found from entering one word and came from any
source that contained an article with that keyword.
b) Timeliness
The time it took to find the database article was greater than the time

it took to find the internet article. The internet article is also recently
published. Meanwhile the database article had no clear date of
publication.
c) Authority
The database article has more authority over the internet article. This

is because the database has the option to narrow the search to match
your needs. The internet article is a result from any source that the
search engine picked up.
