Campus Improvement Plan

Goal: To demonstrate exceptional parent, community, and public relations. The needs of all stakeholders will be considered and
addressed. Our parent and community will be full partners in the education of our students.
Objective: We will utilize various forms of media to communicate and establish positive parent and community partnerships in an
effort to improve student success.
Implementation
Strategies and Activities

Staff will contact parents by


phone, email, and/or letters a
minimum of three times per
semester. There must be at least
three documented positive
contacts made within the
academic school year. Teachers
will contact parents prior to any
failing progress reports or report
cards are sent home.
Target Group: All Students
Parents will be notified of PTA
meetings, Campus/District parent
Nights, Open House,
extracurricular activities,
benchmark dates and STAAR test
dates. An academic progress
report or report card will be
provided to parents at 3-week
intervals.

maintain and periodically update
information on school marquee,

events/activities and
school/teacher webpages.
We will maintain a campus
website to keep the community
aware of upcoming events, school
news and policies. The campus
will appoint a technology liaison
to manage and assist with web
information.

At least once a month our VIPS coordinator sponsors a workshop with our parents. Workshops are held to provide
training to parents on how they can help their child with homework to how they can become more active in our
school.
Our Instructional Coach offers strategies on
how parents can help students with
homework.

Below students are recognized at our districts


community luncheon sponsored by area
businesses.
Students were recognized for showing
exemplary character. Students were chosen by staff.

To keep parents informed with whats going on within our school, we print a monthly newsletter.

Classroom teachers for each grade level are responsible for collaborating and writing the news for their grade level
content areas. Parents are informed about what is going on within the classrooms. Our curriculum coach as well as
the counselor contributes news and helpful information.
