Teacher Directions:
Students will get practice with 12 distributive property problems in this puzzle. They
will cut the pieces out and mix them up and then try to put them back together. The
uncut puzzle can serve as an answer key. If the puzzle is put together correctly then the
penguins will be back in the same order as the uncut version. There are 12 problems
and solutions that will not be used around the outside edge.
Tips and variations:
-The same puzzle can be used more than once.
-Students can work in partners to figure out the puzzle.
-This is a great for a math center.
