To Whom It May Concern:
It is with great pleasure I write this letter in support of Ms. Kristi Syjut. I have had the opportunity to work
closely with Kristi for four Academic years at Bahrain Bayan School as her Math Department Head. When
Kristi started to work at our school she was a fresh graduate and there was a big concern of how a fresh
graduate can cope with in a very demanding school and community but she connected so well with her
colleagues, students, and parents.
Kristi has provided mathematical studies for grade 6, 7, and 8 with students of different abilities and skills.
Throughout her tenure on Bayan, Kristi truly worked as a full time teacher and the lead teacher for grade
6 and 8 math in addition to after school tutoring support class. She is an excellent planner, her daily
lesson plans were extremely detailed and well researched. Our students couldnt wait to come into
classes to read her what is on her board and ask, What are we doing today.
Kristi is very familiar with the Common Core Standards, Aero Project Standards which she embedded into
lessons and assessment. She always made a connection between the topic she is teaching and real life
situations.
The most impressive aspect of Kristis teaching is her relation with students. Kristi was able to present
information on a wide variety of topics while projecting a composed presence, a great sense of humor,
and maintaining a positive classroom environment. Kristi had excellent classroom management from the
very first day of classes since she could balance redirection with appropriate humor and respect.
On a personal note, I thoroughly enjoyed having Kristi on my team. Her demeanor made many days
easier for me and especially our students! I will look back on Kristis time in our classes with much
admiration and gratitude as she was always willing to jump into any situation and help out. Kristi is a
dedicated teacher who truly cares about her craft and students. She presents herself as professional
matured teacher despite her youth! Any school looking to add an exceptional teacher to their school
would do well to take a closer look at Kristi Syjut.
