About Me
My name is
Jase. I am 10
years old and
in the 4th
grade.

Piagets Stage
Dr. Piaget says that I
am a
CONCRETE
OPERATIONAL
learner.

I am between the ages of 7 and 11

My thinking is beginning to become
more logical and organized,
however, it is still very concrete
I am becoming less egocentric and
becoming more sociocentric
I am now able to focus more on
multiple parts of a problem at once

Eriksons Stage
Dr. Erikson says that I
am in the
Industry vs.
Inferiority stage.

I am between the ages of 5 and 12

I am learning to read and write,
create things on my own, and
increase my self-esteem
My peers are of significant
influence on my self-esteem
I am looking for encouragement
and reinforcement from others so
that I do not begin to feel inferior
or doubt my own abilities

My Cognitive Ability
My teacher gave me a task todayShe showed me 2 glasses
filled with the same liquid. She asked, (1) Do they have the
same amount of liquid? She then poured one of the glasses of
liquid into a taller, thinner glass. She then asked, (2) Which
glass has more liquid now?

MY RESPONSES:
1. Yes, both glasses have the
same amount of liquid. I can
look at them and tell. Both
glasses are the exact same size
with the exact amount of liquid.
2. Both glasses still have the same
amount of liquid. You did not
add or take away any amount
of water. You just poured one
glass into a different size glass.

My Physical Ability
I engage in rough and tumble
activities with my brothers.
I like to play competitive sports
such as baseball and football.
I have good body control, such as
balance, and I am developing my
skills, strength, and speed.
I can draw and write better and I
am learning to play the piano.

My Social Relationships

I prefer to hang out with my boy classmates. I have two

best friends that I do everything with during and after
school. I like to listen to music and playing video games
with my friends. I also like to play football and baseball
with my friends. I would rather spend time with my friends
than my family. I want to show my parents and friends that
I can do things on my own and that I do not need help for
everything.

My Parental Relationships
I like spending time with my
friends, but I am still very
close to my parents. I want to
show my parents that I can do
things on my own and that I
do not need help for
everything. I am a trustworthy
guy and I want my parents to
give me more responsibility
such as being able to stay at
home by myself or having
them get me my own cell
phone.

My Thought Processes

ASSIMILATION:
Multiplying double

Equilibrium & Disequilibrium

Equilibrium:
A fourth grade teacher displayed several
different types of polygons to the class. The
students learned about polygons in the third
grade.
Disequilibrium:
The teacher stated that the students were going
to locate and name the different types of angles
in each polygon and measure them using a
protractor.
