The Beatles were a very important part of musical history. In the 1960s, Rock and Roll
was still frowned upon in society and was often viewed as the devils music. From England,
Paul McCartney, Ringo Starr, George Harrison, and John Lennon formed arguably the most
influential band in history. The Beatles were a huge success in England before they busted onto
the scene in the United States. The quartets vocals and lyrics really spoke to people and scent
everybody into a frenzy to get their music. Even today, the Beatles are still very well-known and
their music is still purchased.
Abbey Road, the Beatles last recordings as a group, is one of the most influential albums
in music history. The albums cover is still very popular and can be seen as a poster that many
young people hang up still. It is one of the most iconic pictures of all time. With hit songs such
as Here Comes the Sun, or Come Together, or even Oh Darling! Abbey Road is arguably
one of the greatest albums of all time. Personally, I still listen to the album from time to time.
The lyricism is phenomenal and all of the harmonies as well as even just the instrumentalists just
flow perfectly together. Although it may not be their top selling album, the picture is very iconic.

Gruneiro 2
Abbey road is ranked number 21 in most album sales in history. The Beatles have 3 Albums
inside the top 21 of the all-time album sales. No other band or recording artist can say this.
The Beatles were an international success. Very few recording artists have even come
close to the success that they had. Even after the bands split up, all four band members went on
to have very successful solo careers. The band itself has gone down as one of the greatest in
musical history. Ask almost any person today and they will tell you they know who the Beatles
are. They have video games after them, toys, and even models of the guitar George Harrison
used to play. Without a doubt in my mind, the Beatles are one of, if not the most influential band
of all time.
The two different genres I did was an audio link and a short little report. The point of the
link is to let people listen to great music and discover an artist while the report was written to
convince someone that the Beatles were one of the most influential groups of all time with
Abbey Road being one of the most iconic albums ever written. The audiences can be the same
and also different. If you were a fan of the Beatles and you wanted to do research on them, you
could listen to the album and then read the report to see other peoples opinions on the work.
The main audience of the video are just people who want to listen to good music and are
typically fans of the Beatles. For the report, the main audience would be for people doing
research on them and wanted to get a second opinion on what others thought of the album. The
purposes are slightly different of both genres. Again, the video is just for someone to listen to
the music while the report was to convince someone that the music was iconic and influential.

Do You Believe in Fairy Tales?

Derek Jeter, shortstop of the New York Yankees, ends his Fairy Tale career tonight with
none other than a Fairy Tale ending. With the Yankees out of playoff contention, Jeter was
forced to play his final home game earlier than expected. It was a fall night on September 25th,
2014. The game took place in Yankee Stadium and the atmosphere was electrifying as always.
Fans wanted to see Jeter one last time. The Baltimore Orioles were his final opponent at home, a
divisional rival. It was a beautiful scene to send off one of the most iconic baseball players of all
time. A sure first ballot Hall of Famer.
The game was not as picture perfect as one would like. Baltimore jumped out in front
and led for a majority of the game. It was emotional for everyone, especially Jeter. The history

he was a part of, the World Series he had helped win, were all played for the greatest franchise in
baseball history. Jeter did not have a perfect night either. He was 1 for 4 with a strikeout
heading into the bottom of the ninth tied at 5. With one out and a runner on second, loud chants
of DEREK JETER were emerging while Jeter stepped up to the plate for the final time in
Yankee Stadium. On the very first pitch of the at bat, Jeter hit a hard ground ball through the 3-4
hole and the runner scored. Jeter was absolutely ecstatic and was jumping around like a child on
his way to second. He then went to his shortstop position, crouched and started crying as he said
goodbye one last time. Then he went and celebrated with his team. It was an absolutely perfect
ending to a fantastic career for arguably the greatest shortstop of all time. Hats off to you Mr.
Jeter. Thank you for allowing us to see greatness.
In this genre change, I took a picture of Derek Jeter after his last at bat and turned it into a
news article. Jeter was one of my favorite players to ever play the game of baseball. Not only
that, he is considered the greatest shortstop to ever play the game of baseball. Jeters final at bat
was one of the most emotional, and one of the most magical things that happened in the history
of baseball. It was a fairy tale ending for a man who had a fairy tale career. I chose to turn it
into an article because I like when people know my opinion and I wanted to write something
great about one of the classiest athletes ever to live. If I didnt want to go into the medical field
so bad, I probably would have gotten a broadcasting degree. The main audience is for sport fans
or people who just like a short read.

Dear Kevin,
Cam Newton honestly deserved the contract he got my dude. He is just so athletically
gifted and he has a knack for making plays happen. I mean look at his top 5 plays from his
career so far. Newton even embarrassed your New England Patriots, not to remind you that the
Panthers beat them in that game lol. I think its time you give him credit man. He is just so fast,
and agile with a cannon for an arm. Obviously he isnt a Tom Brady, but just give him time. He
is just so gifted at the quarterback position. Anyways, I also wanted to see how you are doing
buddy. How is school treating you? Any ladies? Hope to hear from you soon dude. I will see
you in a couple of months.
Sincerely,

The video was made into an email that I would send to my friend Kevin. Because it is a
conversation between him and me, the audience is obviously just us two. He is a huge fan of
football and he is the person who hooked me onto the sport. We like to argue about players and
their skill as well as their meaning to the team. He likes to pick on me for being a Panthers fan
and also likes to talk about how good his New England Patriots are. Back when Newton got his
mega contract, Kevin was the first to text me about it. He would tell me how Newton wasnt
worth that much and how much better Tom Brady is than him. I always fire back with how Cam
Newton is unlike any player in the NFL and that the two cant be compared because they are two
different types of players. Kevin is honestly one of my best friends and this is exactly what I
would email him.
