Census 2202
Boundaries are north 24th street, south I-10, east
Campbell, and west is the rail road tracks.
Older homes, vacant lots, poverty, and rail road tracks,
minimal shopping centers and restaurants.

Quincie Douglas
They offer public use computers, weight room, community
garden, youth and teen programs, active adult programs for
fitness, and aquatic center. External agencies including kids
forever daycare, pima council on aging for seniors, and senior
nutrition meals.

Dominant race is Hispanic

Nursing diagnosis: High rate of crime and decreased
feeling of security in the census tract 2202 area related
poverty, lack of resources, and lack of sufficient street
lighting as evidence by community members stating
concerns about safety and 48 crimes in the past 30
days.

Intervention
Goal: Promote safe behaviors of community members
in census tract 2202to aid in prevention of violence,
crime and injury.
Intervention: 30 minute class at the Quincie Douglas
Center. The class will provide community members on
information about how to avoid being victim of crime
as well as general information about staying safe in the
community.

development, and healthy behaviors across the
lifespan.
