GRADUAL INCREASE

We use expressions like easier and easier and more


and more important to say that something is
increasing all the time.

E.g. He was driving faster and faster.

PARALLEL INCREASE

We use expressions like the sooner the better to say that one thing depends
on the other.

E.g. The more you practice a language the better you speak.

SO / SUCH (THAT)

So and such make the use of the adjective or adverb stronger.

E.g. wait for me! Dont walk so quickly.

We use so with an adjective without a noun.

E.g. She worked so hard that she made herself ill.

We use such with an adjective with a noun.

E.g. It was such lovely weather that we spend the whole day on the beach.
