The Imperceptible

Nee Naw! Nee Naw! Nee Naw! the scream of siren rings promptly along the way. Suddenly, I
run out quickly from this tense place.
Stop him! a policeman shouts like a gorilla.
I speed up my steps faster and faster through the crowd then I jump down from the 7th floor to
the 4 floor.

What!? the police are thunderstruck.

Thud. I land on the ground safely and start running again.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!"
"Ouch," I feel the pain on my shoulder, but I still keep running as fast as I can without turning my
face back.
I run pass by the B2S shop on the 4th floor. I turn left and start walking all the way down to the
gangway. Im on my way to the toilet. I go directly in the clean restroom. I take out my hood and look
at my left shoulder. Its bleeding and painful. I close my eyes and use my right hand to touch my injury.
Im looking at the mirror. Unexpectedly, my eyes and hair turn from black to red. Then, the bullet just
comes out from my body steadily. "Ah...," my body completely heals the wound by itself. I dont know
why.
"Check inside," I heard the police shouting. They are just outside the toilet. What should I do?
Hmm, I focus on the wall and touch it. I take a deep breath and imagine that Im a part of the wall.
Suddenly, my hand starts to become invisible. It starts from my hand up to my arms and then, to my
chest. In a few minutes, I cannot see my body in the mirror. The police open the door and come inside,
but they cannot see me. They shout to each other He is not here. Go! Move! We have to catch that
junky. I successfully slip out from the toilet afterwards.
I did not steal anything. I just feel like I was tempted by the sparkling Pink Star Diamond in the
jewelry festival on the 7th floor. I touched the Pink Star Diamond cabinet and it disappeared from the
cabinet and appeared in my palm instead. Then, the siren rang and the police came. I was shocked and
didnt know what to do. However, they though that I stole it. I didnt know what on earth was happening
to me.
I become visible again when I am already far from the police. I take my jacket off and put it in
my haversack. Rapidly, a question appears in my head, Where is the diamond?
Now Im on the 3rd floor. Im finding my way to get out from this shopping center. At that
moment, I see a police officer patrolling around. It seems like he is looking for someone, and is certainly
me. I turn to the other side immediately when he turns to this direction. I stay like that for a while.
Then, I walk carefully to find the exit. I look at my back many times to make sure that he is not following
me.
Thud. I bump into someone. Sorry, I look at his face.
Oh my god! Hes a cop. A...Ah, what should I do?

What? Why he didnt catch me? Um, wait... did he say Nice hair boy, didnt he? I look at the
empty street.
I quickly look at the mirror in the UNIQLO shop. Im staring at a teenage boy with very fair skin,
long red hair, and red eyes. The boy in the mirror is me. My hair and eyes turn from black to red. Lucky
me, the police cant remember me. Its my chance to escape now. I run to the exit hurriedly. I have to
get out of here. This is all I think.
Ouch! Whats happening to me? My body hurts. What is this pain? I hold my chest and stoop
down on the floor. I cant even move. Then, my haversack drops on the floor and the Pink Star
Diamond rolls out and fluoresces. I can hear the sound of footsteps louder and louder.
He is over there. Catch him! the police shout.
I have to run. I force myself to stand up and run away as fast as I can. Now, I reach to the car
park. I can feel that my power is running out rapidly. Im getting weaker. Im almost there. The exit is in
front of me.
Bang!
That hurts. I cant move any more. I fall down to the floor. The police are running to me. I want
to use my power to heal my body but I have no more energy left. I try to focus to make myself invisible
again but I cant. Ah, Im very exhausted now. My vision is blurring. Everything in front of me is getting
dark. I cannot hear anything now. Then, I close my eyes.
I feel like someone is holding me up. I try to open my eyes hardly. I see someone in front of me
but everything is unclear. Then, I try to open my eye slowly. Suddenly, I can see his shadow.
