1. Read and give an insight on the topic discussed on chapter 13.

2. Define project planning.

3. Explain the (a) steps in developing a plan and (b) the project development cycle.
1) Obviously Barangay Luningning depicts only the tip of what community we have been staying in airs like. Having
been informed about the ongoing circumstances in a community runs like, I must conclude it looks like our country is
in for a lot more of divisive and detrimental strife leading us to nowhere but back to square one in our fight against
odds.
Reading that actual scenario is never been new to me since it is mostly scattered around everywhere. And I think
most will agree. Unfortunately, Barangay Luningning mirrors it all. For me it symbolizes all community issues around.
Lack in nutrition, education, clothing, especially more on basic needsproblems everywhere. It constantly increasing.
Even though some in the survey says Not a problem we can really never tell.
I have likewise discovered now that we have this kind of unending profile of community gap and for me this kind of
problem mainly because of too much power and attention concentrated on less important details of our highly
positioned people.
2) Project planning is part of project management, which relates to the use of schedules such as Gantt charts to
plan and subsequently report progress within the project environment.
3) a) The steps in developing of plan actually covers the flow on how the project will be executed. It includes
establishment of goal. This formulates a role on being specific and realistic. Secondly, the identification of strategies/
action steps/ activities to be taken. This, on the other hand, includes person involvement, time frame and resources
needed.
b) Project development cycle refers to the process which a project undergo. This includes four stage process
through which practically every major project goes through: (1) Identification: stage where one project-idea out of
several alternatives is chosen and defined. (2) Preparation: defined idea is carefully developed to the appraisal stage.
(5) Implementation: with necessary approvals and financing in place, the project plan is implemented. (7) Evaluation:
upon completion the project is reassessed in terms of its efficiency and performance. Also called project life cycle.
