The plan should guide the LEAs use of education technology for the next three
years.

With this article, you can get information about Clements High School Technology
plan that is prepared for meeting Texas E-Plan expectations. It is focused on
eligibility, school expectation, and realistic for this plan.
Stakeholders will check meeting all requirements in our district. They will discuss
about the expectations and additional ideas for improvement.
CURRICULUM COMPONENT CRITERIA.
The Plan must establish clear goals and realistic strategy for using
telecommunications and information technology to improve education services.

Describe teachers' current access to instructional technology and current


use of digital tools.
1) How are hardware and software currently being used in
classrooms at each grade level and in each content area?
Clements High School has an agreement with Apple about iPad. Normally,
during the class each student can use their personal cell phone, tablet or
laptop. If needed, iPad can be provided. Each content area using online
software such as pearsonrealize for math department, study island for ELA
classes. Also, teachers use smart board in classroom.
2) How does technology assist teachers and principals with their
administrative tasks, attendance and grading?

To make our teachers grading easier, there is a internet based database.


Database has attendance, grading, students` information, and discipline
records. Core teachers have couple of software; they are eduphoria for all
teachers, study island for science and ELA teachers, ALEKS and Pearson
Realize for math teachers, and Rosetta Stone for LOTE.
Describe students' current access to instructional technology and current
use of digital tools. Include a description about the LEA policy, practices,
and/or replacement policy that ensures equitable technology access for all
students.
1. Is technology currently available to all students?
Yes, as it mentioned above, personal technologic devises are allowed during the class
time. If teacher want to use technology, each classroom have an iPad as a classroom set.
They also, have extra projector, and document camera.
2. Does access differ for different subpopulations of students?
Because of personal technologic devises allowed during the class time,
students have different devises. If teacher want to use just one thing, they
have iPad for each class.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, for


using technology to improve teaching and learning. Describe how these
goals align to the LEA's curricular goals that are supported by other plans.
Describe how the LEA's budget (LCAP) supports these goals, and whether
future funding proposals or partnerships may be needed for successful
implementation.
1. What are the LEAs curriculum goals and plans for assisting students to
meet content standards and demonstrate college and career readiness?
Education purpose of Clements High School is preparing their students to real life and
improving their technological skills for this our century. Clements High School`s
curriculum and extra curriculum activities planned for meeting Common Core State
Standards. When they graduate form this school, they will be expert in their field. Also,
there are a lot of activities to improve students` social skills.
2. How will technology be used to create more powerful learning
experiences to improve student academic achievement?
In the Clements High School, students can use their own personal technological devises.
Each class is using web-based software to improve the class quality and students
technology skills such as Pearson Realize for math department, Compass Learning for
Social Studies. All of them are for improve students academic achievement by using
technology. Also, each teacher has individual website. They are assigning their

assignments online, and students have chance to check their homework and discuss with
the teacher.

Describe goals and an implementation plan, with annual activities, to address


Internet Safety and the appropriate and ethical use of technology in the
classroom.
1. How will teachers be trained to deliver Internet safety and ethical use content?
Each year, there are many trainings are provided to educators for online safety and ethical
use of Internet throughout the year. Internet filtering system will be set up to every
computer for safe Internet usage. Teachers will train for awareness of plagiarism and
teachers will get additional training about how they check the papers quickly.
2. What are the goals to achieve the ethical and safe usage of Internet by student?
In the beginning of the year, there are trainings for students as well. For example, using
safe internet courses will be assigned. Students will be aware of using internet safely and
efficiently. In addition, teachers help students to understand clearly required skills for
ethical use of technology, legal and illegal downloading and avoiding cheating.
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT COMPONENT
The Plan must have a professional development strategy to ensure that staff
understands how to use these new technologies to improve education services

Summary of the teachers' and administrators' current technology


proficiency and integration skills and needs for professional development.
1. What do teachers and administrators consider as their needs for professional
development?
For teachers and administrators, there will be many professional developments
for each purpose of using technology efficiently throughout the year, if the
technology plans use in the school efficiently. Also, thanks to this program, all
teachers and administrators will improve their technology knowledge. At the
end of the year, teacher will be ready for next year about technology usage.
2. Are administrators able to support teachers with the integration of technology
into daily curriculum?
Of course. Our administrators support our teachers to implement technology

into curriculum. Also, in the core courses, teachers have to use technology
during the class. Other staff members technology usage also is supportive.
Our school got the technology grant last year and our admins motivate the
teachers to integrate technology more into their classes.

providing professional development opportunities based on your LEA
needs assessment data and the Curriculum Component of the plan.
1. What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators
can make informed decisions using data to meet individual student academic
needs?
Clements High School has professional data analysts to gather data and analyze
students and teacher performance. After each every district exam they visit the
school and share the analyze reports and discuss action plans according to results.
Also, our school has instructional coach to help teachers about their classes and
lesson plans. The coaches observe the classes regularly and help teachers how to
improve their teaching quality.
2. What professional learning will be available so teachers and administrators
can effectively use technology to assist with student assessment?
There are couples of exams to check students` performance and knowledge. For
example, district assessments, map testing, STAAR practice exams, and preSAT.
Our school provides online access to results. After each exams, data analysts,
instructional coaches, and teachers have a meeting to analyze and prepare
strategies to improve students performance.

INFRASTRUCTURE, HARDWARE, TECHNICAL SUPPORT, SOFTWARE, AND


ASSET MANAGEMENT COMPONENT CRITERIA
The Plan must include an assessment of the telecommunication services,
hardware, software, asset management, and other services that will be needed to
improve education services.

Describe the existing hardware, Internet access, electronic learning


resources, technical support, and asset management already in the LEA

that will be used to support the Curriculum and Professional Development


Components of the plan.
1. What technologies are available to facilitate home/ school communication
such as email, web pages, and voice mail?
Parent communication is very important for Clements High School. The school use
variety of ways to communicate with parents. Upcoming events, school news have
published on our school website, and it has been updated monthly. Parents and
students reach database from school website and also there is an application for smart
phones to make it easier. With this way, parents and students can check grades,
upcoming assignments or test results. Also, they can reach students` district
assessment, STAAR test, or SAT results on database. Parents can contact to teachers
directly with database.
2. 2. What technology access do parents have at home? What technologies do
parents prefer for home/school communication?
Almost all parents and students use our smart phone application to check grades and
other information. Parents can follow news from school website. Parents and
students can contact with teachers via email or phone; also, they can call school
directly and get information.
Describe the technology hardware, electronic learning resources,
networking and telecommunications infrastructure, physical plant
modifications, technical support, and asset management needed by the
LEA's teachers, students, and administrators to support the activities in the
Curriculum and Professional Development components of the plan.
1. What resources are needed for data analysis, management, student
recordkeeping, and home school communication?
Professional data analysis records students` data on school database. Data
analysis, instructional coaches, and teachers have meeting about the data and
prepare strategies to improve students` performance. Also, after each school wide
exams, the results sent to parents by mail. Also, our school arranges parent
conference with teacher each quarter. During that conference, teachers share
students` records with parents and arrange a management plan for student.
2. What technology is needed to implement the Curriculum and Professional
Development components for students and staff?
For STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) classes, students have
projects in each quarter. In those projects, they prepare hands-on projects and
also, they need to prepare videos, photos and other thing to present their projects.
Finally, they prepare website, and present their project online with teachers.

MONITORING AND EVALUATION COMPONENT


The plan must include an evaluation process that enables the school to monitor
progress toward the specific goals and make mid-course corrections in response
to new developments and opportunities as they arise.

Describe the process for evaluating the plan's overall progress and impact
on teaching and learning.
1. Who will participate in the monitoring and evaluation process?
Clements High School principal, dean of academics, department heads and
instructional coaches observe and evaluate the process with meeting and class
observations.
2. What criteria will be used to measure success (e.g., test scores, student portfolios,
percentage of students attaining grade-level content standards, attendance,
dropout rate, matriculation to college, or full-time employment)?
Clements High School has 100% college acceptance. Therefore, the most important
success criterion is college acceptance. Then, state tests, district assessments, NWEA
results, SAT/ACT school average scores will be main measurement for success.

Describe the schedule for evaluating the effect of plan implementation;


including a description of the process and frequency of communicating
evaluation results to tech plan stakeholders.
1. How often will data be collected and summarized? Who is responsible?
Our school professional data analysis and instructional coaches collect data;
summarize it and arrange a meeting with teachers at the end of the each quarter.
On end of quarter meetings they plan for the short-term strategies. At the end of
the year, they gather total data and meet final meeting and prepare next year plan.
2. How often will the status of plan implementation be reported to the LEA
superintendent and the stakeholders?

Superintendent and stakeholders receive and analyze the data twice in a year and
they make a meeting with principals at the end of the year.
