Comments: Strengths of the lesson/Areas for development:

Zainab begins the class by taking attendance then she informs the children
that they will learning how to make cupcakes. She proceeds to explain the
process on the board by using visuals. Then she asks the students to place
the steps in order. Zainab asks the students questions about the process.
"What step is next" Zainab directs the students to their tables and
continues the whole group activity using the smart board. some students
read the sentence and Zainab writes the order on the board. Students work
groups they read the sentences and place the pictures in the correct order. ..
After they complete the group activity students write the process of making
cupcakes in a cupcake design sheet.. This lesson was well planned and
materials were prepared to very good standards. Zainab has planned
activities that cater todifferent learning styles. She used visual, auditory and
kinesthetic approaches to this lesson. Zainabcompleted her activities within
the planned time, she gave 5 minute warning and 2 min warnings. She
monitored the class and answered questions as she walked around the
room, to close the small group activities Zainab shows a bag of candies and
children immediately begin to clean up, Zainab doesnt do anything about
candies she returns them to the shelf and children get ready for the next
activity. ..Closing- Zainab shows a decorated cupcake and posts it on the
board. She tell the students to create one similar . She provides materials in
plastic bags for each group. ..
Zainab has done anexcellent job planing his lesson. She completed all the
activities in a timely manner and mantained a positive learning
