Ludwig van Beethoven was

born December 17th, 1770 in
Austria. Beethoven was a
very powerful and important
component in the Classical
and Romantic era in Western
music. His father Johann van
Beethoven taught him at a
young age about music and
his talents bloomed from
there. At 21 he moved to
Vienna and began playing
the piano, but by 30 his
hearing began to fail him.
He began composing many
works and matured greatly
here and published his first
six string quartets. He went
onto make his Septet, which
became one of his most
popular pieces. He died
almost completely deaf in
1811.
