Must maintain a minimum 2.75 GPA, admittance to TEP (Teacher
Education Program), attend a pre-student teaching meeting,
completion of PRAXIS 2, completion of Foundations of Reading test,
apply for student teaching & interview, complete 138 credits, and
student teach.
2. Student Teaching What did you learn about options for student teaching
at your chosen college/university?
Carthage has their students observe and student teach at a local
elementary school in Kenosha, WI.

2. What did you learn about the edTPA?
Its a performance-based assessment to measure the knowledge
that teachers need. The placement is a Pre-Kindergarten to 12th
grade classroom. It focuses on Planning, Instruction, and
Assessment.
3. How do you apply for licensure?
Individuals should submit their applications for licensure online in
the Educator Licensure Information System (ELIS).
