Abstract

Poverty has become a national issue, it is not only a problem in America but also on the entire
world. Poverty is defined differently through the eyes of different people, but it is the state of
being extremely poor, facing homelessness, hunger, lack of education and sufficient money.
There are several reasons on what is causing poverty and one of them is that people are not
getting educated and therefore not getting a well payed job. The minimum wage is to low, and
political issues are also influencing poverty in America. Poverty is causing thousands of people
in the world to die each day and if solutions are created these numbers will reduce a lot. An
example of the solutions that are going to be discussed in this report are: raising the minimum
wage, provide better oversight to financial markets, maintain safety net programs as Medicaid
and generate needed revenue and boost tax services. All this solutions are going to be discussed
in depth in this report by analyzing statistic and different point of views because poverty is a
bigger issue.
