Digital Photography: Creating Spirit Animal Hybrids


The students create a digital photograph of a hybrid
being by combining a self portrait and an animal portrait of
their chosen spirit animal.

If she was to reintroduce this project again she would be sure to go


over basic photoshop function for review (such as transform controls),
and empower the students ability by doing more handsoff modeling.

Expertise of content area evident. Lots of


individual support. Original, thought provoking
lesson. Total focus was on student needs.
Instead of hands on modeling, I would have
liked to see Leanna talk them through it and let
them manipulate the computer, or heard some
questions like, what do you think comes
next? The information should have come in
smaller doses. I did not see an art objective
and I think on art element should have also
been considered.
