I am now writing this short essay so I can demonstrate to whoever may be reading
this that my writing skills have improved significantly from the beginning of the
semester to now the end of the semester. At the beginning of the year I had trouble
with the flow of my sentences and with my grammar. I used to use too many
commas in one sentence and I wouldnt use the proper words for what I was trying
to express. My RWS class helped me very much because I had to do many
assignments with every single one of them including writing in them. With these
assignments I would take them to the UTEP writing center to have them revised and
edited. I was able to see how every one of my assignment went through this
process so I got to learn some things from that. Adding on to this my RWS instructor
was very understanding and nice, so she would give me tips and feedback after she
would grade my assignment. Taking RWS was great and really improved my writing
skills and so I highly recommend to take this class your first semester of college. It
will help you not only with that class but with other classes too.
