LESSONSUMMARY/OVERVIEW

Thegoalofthislessonisforthestudentstoapplythematerialtheyvebeenlearningonnutrition
inordertohelpthemcurrentlyandinthefuture.Theywillbecompletingaoneparagraphletter
totheirfutureselves,persuadingthemtomakehealthyfoodchoiceseachday.Thisletterwillbe
informativeastheywillbeusingthefactsofthecausesandeffectsofovernutritionaswellas
howtoavoidtheissueasawhole.Thisisrelevanttosustainabilitybecauseitillustratesstrategic
thinkingwithcauseandeffectofdailychoices.Italsoprovesthatthedecisionswemakenow
willaffectusinthefuture.Itteachesthestudentstovaluetheirownhealthandvalueitona
personallevel.
