    In this paper, we report on extension of the range of operating air-gap for an EMLS. This is significant
    because such systems are useful for magnetic levitation (maglev) based applications particularly in
    transportation system where large operating air-gap is needed from safety and security point of view. The
    paper should be of interest to readers in the areas of control systems, Mechatronics systems etc..
