To laugh often and much; to

win the respect of intelligent
people and the affection of
childrento leave the world a
better placeto know even
one life has breathed easier
because you have lived. This is
to have succeeded.
-Ralph Waldo Emerson

Purpose
I

believe education is necessary in order to help shape:

Responsible
Tolerant
Balanced
Kind
Productive
Students who will be a benefit to our society and can
not just survive; but add to conversations, ideas, and
show kindness and concern for the world around
them.

Student Role
I

believe it is the students

responsibility to be prepared
for learning everyday
Each child should have their
materials, positive attitude,
and understand how to
make the most of their
education

Teacher Role
I

believe a teacher should:

Support
Question
Challenge
Correct
Model

These

attributes will help to create wellrounded, world aware, and self-sufficient adults
of the future

Who we teach?...
I

believe EVERYONE has the RIGHT to an

education
As an elementary teacher, I believe I will teach
young children of varying ages who has all
abilities
No one should be turned away because it is
difficult to provide them a complete education

How and What?...

I

believe teachers should be trained to instruct

and manage a class
They also should know how to calmly instruct in
multiple methods so they can teach and transfer
information to students of all abilities

Curriculum
I

believe students all need access to text and

materials appropriate for age, grade level,
and performance level

Technology needs to be implemented by the

teacher and practiced by students
Common Core needs to challenge students to
know how and why they learn

Community, Parents, and

World Education
I believe for students to
have the greatest positive
impact on a society, they
must have the support
from parents and
community members
As part of being an I.B.
school, our students
explore 6 key areas
including: who we are, how
the world works, and where
we are in place and time

Social Justice
We

need to teach with actions that we

can grow from all cultures
All students/people are equal
Be sensitive and aware of others beliefs

Conclusion!
My

education philosophy can be

summarized by saying that the students
should always come first
Involvement is crucial
It is hard work
Everyone should have access, but they
must choose to make the most of the
opportunity
The principle goal of education is to create individuals
who are capable of doing new things, not simply of
repeating what other generations have done.
