For this lesson I will be needing:

a Nearpod presentation,

1box of crayons per group of 4,
a short video about holidays,
1 IPad per group (5 max),

Accommodations/Modifications:

I will accommodate/modify the learning for all students by assigning seats and making sure that I am allowing students to
have the chance to ask questions and have the chance to use their imagination. At this age sometimes children are not yet
diagnosed as being special education. In the lesson this is more or less a grade based in participation. The main focus of
this lesson is to show students the students the different holidays. By using the coloring pages this will help my students

Video Clip
Input/Modeling or Present Information:
While preforming the lesson I plan to present the information using Nearpod. I will create a short presentation focusing on the holidays that we
will be discussing in class. Within each slide and I will be sure to include pictures like the ones with in their packets that they will be coloring.

Check for Understanding/Provide Learner Guidance:

To check for understanding the students will start engage in a short game. We will talk about a holiday or celebration and the student will then
color the page that correlate the holiday. We will start by talking about a holiday and then the students will then hold up the picture that they

think correlates to the holiday. After they get that holiday they will have the chance to color that page.

Guided Practice with coaching /Elicit Performance:

A short review on holidays in our own culture. The students will be able to explain to what their pictures they colored represent.

Independent Practice/Provide informative feedback:

At this level the student will have an opportunity to split into groups of four where each group will have an IPad to answer a short three
question assessment on Kahoot as a group.
Closure:
To close the lesson, we will have a circle time group talk. We will all as a group answer 2 questions about our lesson and the holidays. This
closure assessment will take place in the Socrative app.
Assessment:
My assessment will be in the form of an exit question. Each student will quickly answer a question that relates to the lesson.

Enhance/Transfer:
For transfer retention I plan to correlate each holiday to a way we all celebrate.

Recommendation:

Student / Teacher Feedback:

For student feedback I will send home a homework assignment where the student will connect the image to the event.
For teacher feedback I will take the time to closely look at the assessments in class to determine if there needs to be anything else that needs to
be looked at and reevaluated.
