Lesson Plan: The Scientific Method

Take Attendance
Starters:
Ask the following questions: Have students answer and correct the answers:
1. What is the importance of the international system of units in our lives?
2. What is the difference between velocity and speed?
3. How do we apply the three Laws of Newton in our daily lives?
4. What are the three layers of the Earth?
5. What are the sublayers of the crust, the mantle, the core?
6. Is the continental crust made out of granite or basalt? And the oceanic crust?
7. What does the magnetic field protect us from?
8. What is the second line of defense if the first line gets penetrated?
9. What is the natural phenomena produced by the magnetic poles?
Present the package of activities to the students: Have them work in group
Once they finish, have them put the papers inside the binders and put the binders back into
place an in order. They cant leave without leaving the desks back into place and the classroom
floor clean from pencils and or trash.
