each activity if it was used in the class 1-In the circle time the teacher takes the attendance and then she reviews the lesson with them, she also put some song for them. 2-In 9:30 student go to the playground, and they start playing many different games and when it comes 10:00 they go to the class.
Small group/paired activities:
1- Activity after lessons 2- Playing in Corners
1-When the teacher finishes the
lesson she gives them some activities, and she spirits the boys and the girls in groups. 2-In classroom there are many corners and in each corner the student learn new things like in the reading corner they learn about fruit and clothes while theyre reading, they also can develop their reading skills.
Independent activities: 1- Helping Hand 2- Worksheets
1-Every day the teacher choose
one of the students to be her helping hand, the student job is counting the children and help the teacher. 2-In the end of the day and before the students go homes the teacher give them a worksheet about what did they take today and they do it.
1- How does the teacher make sure the students are
prepared for the day? She makes a small activity for them to make them active and energetic, but sometimes she asks them if they are ready or not. 2- How many tasks do they complete in one hour? She makes sure that she only give them 3 task in one hour to not let them feel bored or feel tired from the tasks. 3- Did the teacher use a variety of different types of learning activities? Yeah, she always uses a different type of activities to make children feel interest and to encourage them in the class. 4- What materials did they used? The used color, papers, pencils, sometimes she uses toys or games. 5- Were the instructions, explanation and question clear and appropriate for the students needs? Give examples. Yeah sure, she only gives them what they take in the class, for example, she does some activities about numbers and letters that they have taken it before. She also had a clear voice, and she repeat the questions. 6- What strategies did the teacher use to ensure the students understood what they are about to do? Sometimes she uses the mystery box; she put something that related to the lesson or the activities and she ask them to guess what is in the box.
7- How does she make sure all students are involved
and attentive? After the lesson, she opens a game that is about the lesson in her computer or her iPad and she start asking them and from this game she now if they are attentive or involved. 8- What signals can you identify that the children have had enough? Some children when they have enough the start chatting with each other or making a noise some of the stop answering or stop doing anything he just looks at her. 9- What signals do children show that indicate they are proud of their achievement or disappointed? When they feel proud of their achievement they start showing their work to everyone in the class, for the teacher, for his/her friends, they also 10- How do children demonstrate their frustration? While Im observing, I notice that some child throws his paper or his work in the garbage or he just hide his paper. 11- Do the children observe others? Yes, Of course, Children observe each others and help each other, Las Tuesday I saw one of my classroom children, he was standing Next to his friend and he was calming him down while his friend Was crying. 12- Do the children interact with another child during the task? Yes, they interact with each other by showing them how to do It.
13- What do they say or do while completing the tasks?
They start helping each others, or they tell stories about Themselves.
