Several of the worlds terrorist organizations, such as ISIS, Al- Qaeda, and Al- Shabaab, have
targeted people with religious believes and faith in God, among many others. As a result,
according to the New York Times, there is an estimate of 200,000 Syrians killed in this civil war.
This organizations have been killing, and torturing people in the Middle East, and it has become
the worlds center of attention. With news about how ISIS infiltrated Syria, and have caused the
loss of homes to many Syrian citizens, and refugees on foreign countries, even celebrities, such
as, Angeline Jolie, Shakira, Jennifer Lopez, and many others have spoken on behalf of this
people. Fortunately they are many organizations willing to risk everything, to aid others. United
Nations, and its many departments that work under them, have been helping, feeding, sheltering,
and protecting many of this refugees.
United Nations International Childrens Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has been spending, and
sending a lot of money to countries who have been giving refugee to Syrian citizens, affected by
the civil war. A lot of Syrian kids have been giving refuge in Jordan, and UNICEF has been
suppling there needs. Spending an approximate $37.7 million dollars in installing water and
sewage system to their new homes. Fundraisers from the UNICEF in USA has been able to
fundraise a $25 million dollars to help kids get proper passport, and able to leave the country to
gain refuge elsewhere. This fundraisers have been promoted throughout social media, news, and
all over the internet. Also with the help of UNICEF 100,000 kids would start to receive
education again in Lebanon. However the help doesnt end here, on September the 22nd,
according to the Washington Post, the US government has agree to provide $419 million dollars
to help this refugee kids.
United Nations International Childrens Emergency Fund (UNICEF) has been hosting a lot of
fundraisers around the globe. They also give any one the opportunity to host a fundraiser on

website provided, you can volunteer to help on a fundraiser, or organize one to host it yourself.
This fundraisers are taken place everywhere, from marathons, to kids playground, and all to
collect money for the organization. Last year the UK and UNICEF partner up to create the firstever global charity around partnership a Commonwealth Games. This was made to gain a new
audience, and to have a long lasting legacy for the children. The message of UNICEFs
fundraiser was spread to billions, and raiser an admirable amount of money.
The United Nations (UN) has the ability to change, and impact the life of many, through its
many departments. They have been promoting ways to help people here in the states, willing to
help this Syrian citizens, throughout social media, news, and there websites. You can go

can make a difference by helping someone in need of a home.
