Calculation
Calculation is correct.
Calculation is incorrect.
Find a slope
Find y-intercept
Materials/Set-Up:
Markers, a whiteboard, a coordinate plane, a computer, internet access, a projector, handout, and
pencils.
Procedures:
a. Introductions
Turn in your homework.
Elaborate:
c. Concluding
We can find slope and y-intercept from the equation and graph. How we did it?
Have students answer the questions.
Adaptations and Extensions:
Graph linear equation y = 3x + 4 on the graph paper.
Management Considerations:
Have students clear their desks: hang the backpacks on the back of the chairs, put
away unnecessary items, etc.
Remind students that one speaker at a time permits.
Walk around classroom more often to check all the students engagement in
learning. If necessary give them a sign to focus on learning individually, such as point out
students notebook, worksheet, etc.
Reflections:
My CT taught 8C and distributed a new handout. I used her handout for 8A and 8B. Collected
homework from 8B. When parallel lines were introduced (#5) the bell rang, so the students
stayed a little bit longer in the classroom until I finished explaining the definition of parallel
lines.
Exit pass couldnt be taken. The rest of handout was given as study guide.
