Step by step to install VPN

Configure VPN Access (windows O/S ):
1. Choose Start > Run. Enter regedit and click OK. The Registry Editor window is
displayed.

2. In the navigation tree, choose My Computer > HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE >

SYSTEM > CurrentControlSet > Services > Rasman > Parameters. In the right-hand
pane of the window, check whether the key value whose name is ProhibitIpSec and data
type is DWORD exists. If the key value does not exist, right-click and choose New >
DWORD Value. Then name the key value ProhibitIpSec. If the key value already
exists, perform the following steps.

3. Right-click the value and choose Modify. Then edit the DWORD value. Enter 1 in the
Value Data text box and click OK.

4. Restart the PC for the new settings to take effect.

Create the L2TP connection :

1. Choose My Computer > Control Panel > Network Connections and select Create a
new connection under Networks Tasks. Select Next in the window displayed.

2. Under Network Connection Type, select Connect to the network at my workplace

and click Next.

3. Under Network Connection, select Virtual Private Network connection and click
Next.

4. In the Company text box under Connection, enter the company name or the name of the
VPN server. This example assumes that the name is Huawei NOC. Then click Next.

5. Select Do not dial the initial connection under Public Network and click Next.

6. In the VPN Server Selection text box, enter the Public IP address (103.4.54.194) and then click
Next. New IP (116.197.131.146)

if you setting with the Notebook/Computer From Huawei :

7. As required, select Anyone's use or My use only in Connection Availability, and click
Next.

8. Select Add a shortcut to this connection to my desktop and then click Finish

9. Enter the VPN User name & Password, and then click Properties in the dialog box

10. Click the Options tab and set the parameters

11. Click the Security tab. Select Advanced (custom settings). Click Settings,

12. Set Advanced Security Parameters and click OK,

13. Click the Networking tab and set the parameters,

14. Click OK. The Connect Huawei NOC window is displayed
