WilltheEnglishdominantlanguageinAmericamakediverseculturesforgettheir
languages/culture/origin?Istechnologymakinguslessintelligentthanourancestorseventhough
wehavemoreinformationthanbefore?EventhoughAmericaisgettingmorediverseastime
goeson,thecultureswouldhavetolearnanewlanguagetoadaptinanewcountry.Thefirst
generationoffamilieswouldunderstandtheiroriginandlanguage,butwillthegenerationsafter
thatlearnanyofit?

OncepeopleimmigratetotheUnitedStatesofAmerica,theywouldhavetostartlearning
Englishinordertoadapttoeverythinginit.Thefirstimmigrantswouldstruggletolearnthe
languagebecauseitwasnttheirfirstandtheirchildrenwouldhaveabettertimelearningit.The
childrenhaveabetterchancebecauseoncetheyreyoung,theycanlearneasier.Also,all
childrenintheU.Shavetogotoschool,andthatswheretheywouldlearnEnglish.Theywould
slowlyforgettheircountry'sorigin.Asgenerationsgoon,thegenerationbeforethemwould
forgetthelanguagesandeventually,itwoulddisappear.


AnotherreasonwhyEnglishisdominatingotherlanguagesisbecausetherearepeople
goingaroundtheworldteachingthepeopleofthatcountryEnglish.Therewouldbeclassesto
learnEnglish,andsomeoftheirentranceexamsincludeanEnglishpart.Also,somepeople
wouldalsowanttolearnEnglishbecausetheywanttogototheUnitedStatesandadaptright
away.

Technologyismakingoursenseofknowledgeworsewhenitevolves.Thereasonforthat
isbecausetechnologywoulddothethinkingandworkforus.Weareallrelyingontechnology
todoeverything.Oneday,Ifeelthatengineersaretheonlypeoplewhowillthinkmorecritically
astechnologygrows.Engineerswouldgoaroundfixingtheproblemsaseverythinggetseasier
forothercareers.

Languageisacomplexsubjecttherearealotofmeaningstowords,andtheycanchange
overtime.Thewordscanbechangedfromwhatitshoulddefine.Anotherthingisthattherearea
lotofdialectinthiscountry.Theyarereplacingwordswithslangtomakethingssoundmorehip
anditiseasiertosay.Maybeoneday,thewordtheslangcamefrommightbeforgottenas
everythinggetsolder.Thereisnocompletetruthinwhatwordsmeantbackthenwehumansjust
decipheredwordsasweinterpretedthem.

HavewechangedtheEnglishlanguageassocietyadvancesandgrows?Asoursociety
grows,societywouldhavetogrowwithit.Theywouldtrytoadaptwiththeirknowledge,but

technologystopsourcriticalthinking.
As the world learns to deal with the domination of
English, whether through Globish or the more-intensive language training proposed by the
British Council report, it is native English speakers who could be in need of extra
preparation. Though English fluency can seem like the key to the kingdom today, in the
future, if there are two billion people who can speak English, the English speaker without
knowledge of another language will be at a disadvantage. (English taking over World P.1)

PrinceCharles,regardwhatisforeigntousasbarbarousandcorrupt.Weowetheterm
barbarous
totheGreekstheypitiedthepoorforeignerwhocouldonlystammerbarbarand
hencewasabarbaros.Barbariansaresimplythosewhodonottalkaswedo,whethertheyare
outsiders,Yanksorfellowcountrymenandcountrywomenwhosestylewedonotadmire.

Technologyisafantasticthingtohaveinourlivesitmakeseverythingeasierandsolves
ourproblems.Butourknowledgeofeverythingisgoingdownbecausethingswouldgointoour
earandgooutthenextone.Wedonthavetocriticallythinkaboutanythinganymorebecause
wecanjustsearchituponlineinstantly.Weshouldbeabletolearntoadaptwiththegrowthof
everythinginsteadofjustbeingoutgrownbyitandnotbeingabletothinkonyourown.Asitis,
ifwekeepgoingthewaywearenow,wearejustgoingtolettechnologytakeoverourlivesand
thinkforus.Wearehumans,weshouldcontinuetoevolvewiththetechnologyandnotletittake
control.

Weneedtogooutsideandobservetheworldforwhatitisinsteadofrelyingon
technologyforeverythingthatweknow.Ashumans,weshouldbeabletolearnforourselves.
Theoriginofculturesmayeventuallydieaslongasthegenerationspassdowntheirlanguage
andheritage.Thatstheonlywayitwouldstrivetogoonforgenerations.Anotherwayfor
languagestosurviveisiftherewereclassesforitorcommunitiescomingtogether.Theycando
culturalpartiesfortheirheritageandteachotherculturesaboutitalso.
