Competency A Professionalism and Understanding:

You exhibited very satisfactory professionalism. You seem to have established
very good rapport with the learners and the school administration. It would
be good if your MST was present so I could ask her about your progress.

Category B Planning for Learning:

A satisfactory lesson plan was provided in time before the lesson an
adjusted version was presented at the beginning of the lesson. The material
and content of the lesson were appropriate for the class level. The learning
outcomes statements need to be present in behavioural terms.

Category C Implementing and Managing Learning:

The lesson began promptly with the students engaged in a warm-up activity
asking about "What is in the he box?" - to elicit the objective of the lesson.
You did well the request a volunteer to read the lesson objectives. Then the
students, working in groups, completed a task by opening a Padlet link with
questions comparing a print magazine to video storyboard - neat that the
student responses were visible to the whole class. The students were the
engage in a teacher led class discussion of the group responses. The followup activity to introduce them to the concept of "Storyboard" by reordering
the sequence of a set of images from Snow White. The students worked
quickly and very enthusiastically - the seemed to find the task rather easy.
Then the class was engaged in a quick teacher led exposition of the concept
of "Storyboard" - using Q & A to elicit a student version of the definition
followed by presentation of the definition worked very well. In the follow-up
activity the students were presented with a video playback explaining the
concept and presenting the steps that go into creating a storyboard. This
could have been more efficient if the video was more explicit in an interface
generally familiar to the students. The students were given a task to
complete in pairs - starting a storyboard of their own - the students did great

and came up with very viable examples.

Category D Monitoring and Assessment of Learning:

Overall, you used Q & A very efficiently to elicit desired responses from the
learners.
You also provided very satisfactory scaffolding for the learners during group
tasks.

Category E Reflection:
You continue to engage in very satisfactory self-evaluation. Your reflections
were spot on and you demonstrated critical self- appraisal.

Strengths of the Lesson:

The main strengths of this lesson were: Exemplary classroom control, learner
engagement, very good rapport with the learners, and very efficient use of Q
& A.
Areas for Development:
Continue working on allowing for the students to demonstrate understanding
during the course of the lesson.
Focus for next lesson:
Continue providing more opportunities for the students to apply learning
through authentic practice.
