Examples of situations in your working life that demonstrate these skills

When working at PetSmart, Ive had to do a handful of certain job skills. Sometimes I have to find information
like where an animals room is at to go get them or their stuff. I have to remember things like the door code to
get into the back of the hotel, proper safety procedures, names of pets, etc. I support others if they feel
overwhelmed and try to help them as best as I can. I prioritize work when I am not inside of camp, I will first
see if anyone in the kitchen needs help with feeding, then I will start doing room refreshes or poop/water
checks. I meet new people every day, and also see a lot of the same customers who bring their dogs to doggy
day camp every day. I am very thorough when I am cleaning or trying to figure out a problem. I sometimes train
new employees and have them observe me while I work so they can figure out how to do the job when they
are by themselves. Sometimes I delegate work responsibilities to new hires when they dont know what to do. I
definitely take personal responsibility whenever something goes wrong or an accident happens and I try to help
in any way possible. I am very active at work, walking around, playing, throwing toys, running around the
rooms with the dogs to tire them out, making sure dogs are playing too rough, etc. I can say I for sure maintain
emotional control under stress. My job gets extremely stressful sometimes and I never take it out on anyone or
anything. I apply my knowledge about the hotel whenever a new customer comes in if I am in the lobby and
they ask something. I provide customers with service by retrieving their dogs/cats, or putting them away,
getting their food, medicine, toys, and bed, and making sure their animal has a great time while they stay with
us.
