Applying knowledge of skeletal muscle structure, contraction, and

fatigue the followinglabs were conducted showing theeffectoftheATPon
the rabbit fibers and the fatigue caused by continuous and repetitive
muscle contractions. The skeletal muscle connects totheskeletontoform
part of the mechanical system, giving the abilityto move limbs throughout
the entire body. In 1864 Kuhnne discovered the myosin protein and that
the skeletal muscle is made up of hundreds or eventhousandsof muscle
fibers bundled together and wrapped in connective tissue. Muscle
contractions of those thousands of muscle fibers were studied by four
major scientists
Andrew F. Huxley
,
Rolf Niedergerke
,
Hugh Huxley and
Jean Hanson in 1954 they found that ATP caused actin and myosin to
slide across each other as the skeletal muscle contraction occurred.
Angelo Mossointhelate1800sworkedwithphysiologists WilhelmLudwig,
Du Bois Reymond, Hugo Kronecker, and Etienne Marey to conduct
researchonmusclefatigueusingmuscletracings.

SkeletalMuscleStructure:

A skeletal muscle is an organ of the muscular system. It is composed
mostly of skeletal muscle tissue , nervous tissue, blood and other
connective tissue. An individual muscle is separated from other muscles
and held into position by layers of dense connective tissue called fascia.
This connective tissue surrounds all muscles and may project beyond the
endsofmusclefibersformingacordliketendon.

The grip testswere usedto see whatyour muscles could handle the
longest a repetitive gripping action or a continuous gripping action. My

test. During the repetitive test the strength at the beginning was not as
strong as the continuous strength atthebeginning, butthestrength lasted
alot longer. We also tested that when you are encouraged by someone
