Philosophy of Ministry
My core values are Biblical foundations, praising Jesus, connectedness, serving, keeping
children safe, and celebrating milestones. I believe in a concrete foundation of knowledge of
Gods Word. I believe in Praising Jesus together through prayer, song and dance, and loving one
another in thanksgiving for each other. I believe in connectedness; sharing our stories with one
another while in fellowship with an intergenerational church family. I believe in a ministry that
serves together. I believe in making church a safe place, where we have kind hands and kind
voices. I believe in making Childrens Ministry a place where we can join together in celebration
of milestones as Jesus writes his story on our hearts. I believe in sharing those stories with one
another.
1. Biblical foundations start with leaders having a theologically sound platform from which to
teach. This starts with equipping teachers with age-appropriate material and curriculum that will
guide in the teaching of our Bible lessons. This is strengthened through parents reinforcing
Biblical principals at home. We believe in equipping parents with take home material and parent
classes so that they are prepared to the primary pastors in their childs life.
"These commandments that I give you today are to be upon your hearts. Impress them on your
children. Talk about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie
down and when you get up." Deuteronomy 6:6-7
2. We believe praising God together is an essential lesson that will teach students how to rejoice in
Gods creation. We believe in having fun in worship through song and dance.
You have set your glory in the heavens. Through the praise of children and infants you have
established a stronghold against your enemies, to silence the foe and the avenger. Psalm 8:2

3. Staying connected to a Christian center is important in the development of friendships. We want
to make Childrens Ministry a place where students can connect and encourage one another
through the creation and development of their personal story. We also want to create an
intergenerational church by provide opportunities for children to connect to the rest of their
church family through monthly Family Worship Sunday services.
So in Christ we, though many, form one body, and each member belongs to all the others.
Romans 12:5
4. As Christians, we are called to be disciples, to serve our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of
the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have commanded you.
And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age. Matthew 28:16-20
5. Safety is critical. We require background checks of our staff and volunteers. We also require a
ministry safe tutorial be watched. There should be two adults present when a child or children
are. This will help prevent acquisitions of workers and promote the safety of every child. We
teach children to be kind in their own words and actions by setting this example.

Put on the full armor of God, so that you can take your stand against the devils schemes.
Ephesians 6:11-13
You are young, but don't let any person treat you like you are not important. Be an example to
show the believers how they should live. Show them with the things you say, with the way you
live, with your love, with your faith, and with your pure life. 1 Timothy 4:12
6. From birth until the grave, we will experience a multitude of spiritual milestones. In the
beginning stages of life one experiences: being dedicated or baptized, owning ones first Bible,
independently engaging in Gods Word, and partaking in communion. The Childrens Ministry
believes in assisting parents in teaching their children the meaning of each milestone. We provide

parents with classes equipping them with the tools necessary for guiding their children on their
faith walk, through each milestone.
This is the day the LORD has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it. Psalm 118:24
