As per requirement of the undergraduate course CHE 427 Field Trips and Seminars, BS Chemical Engineering
students, are required to conduct plant visits on various industrial fields of chemical engineering. The main objective
of the activity is to provide students an insight of the plant operation and appreciation of the equipment and devices
used in the company. Likewise, this will supplement the theories we have acquired and learned in the classroom for
an enhanced understanding and application.
In line with this, we would like to request your good office to allow us to conduct a plant visit and/or an in-house
lecture regarding the operation of the company, specifically the PUREFOODS Hormel Company. If permitted, the
group composed of 19 students and an instructor will be visiting your company on January 27, 2016. If the
