Inequality: The Worlds Greatest Issue
Syncretism - the amalgamation or attempted amalgamation of different religions,
cultures, or schools of thought. This is the cure to todays poison of inequality, which has
heightened over the past few years. The voices of this world have come to notice and stand up
for the excessive ethnocentrism and economical stresses. Worldly and cultural inequalities have
meddled with the struggling affairs of persecuted foreigners and the depleting economy, resulting
in homelessness, high suicide rates, hunger, and poverty.
Because of political and economical conflicts, the unprivileged and unstable have started
to rise in numbers, creating unjust situations for many people. According to ABC News, Ms. Ley,
an Australian Health Minister, is pushing for a reform to decrease the amount of people in the
25% of mental illness sufferers in the homeless population. This could include getting hold of a
local organization which can assist, whether it is because they do not have somewhere to sleep
that night or they are at risk for being homeless. said Ley (Mental Health). The Health Minister
is not the only one fighting a crisis; According to David Von Drehle, the U.S is currently working
to stop ISIS, but nothing they do is working. The Muslim terrorist group is fighting for their
religion, and the U.S has to stand against them because the forces closest to them are not sure

they want to solve it. So, due to the lack of support and weakened hope, the U.S has started to
persecute Muslims by banning them from certain activities and areas (Von Drehle). Yet, Muslims
are not the only ones being cast out; in the futuristic novel, The Hunger Games, a real-world
relation situation is described as different districts being wealthier than others just because of
their location. Unlike District 1s wealth and freedom, starvations not uncommon in District
12. Like the predictions of the worlds future poverty, this book perfectly reflects the unequal
sides of the economy (Collins, Suzanne). Injustice is affecting the socionimical factors of the
world, but it seems to be growing in the all-too-familiar conflicts of culture.
In fact, religious and cultural conflicts are leading to new wars, reforms, and even riots
between whites, Muslims, Mexicans, and many more suffering races. Fox News states that CocaCola released an offensive ad, and Mexicans are saying that it is an attack on the dignity of the
indigenous people. The ad showed white teens charitizing impoverished Mexicans, and it
caused a huge uproar with the natives (Coca-Cola). Mexicans are alone in facing discrimination;
Elizabeth Warren talks about the wage difference between whites and African Americas.
According to Warren, companies deny millions of African-Americans economic opportunities
solely because of the color of their skin. (Warren, Elizabeth). Even Dr. Seuss, a writer who
reflected real life problems with his abstract stories, wrote about a terrible discrimination
situation. In his story, there are Plain-Belly and Star-Belly Sneetches, and when Star-Belly
children went out to play ball, could a Plain-Belly get in the game? Not at all. Seuss story is a
perfect example of the conflicts between African-Americans and whites, Mexicans and whites,
and Muslims and whites (Seuss). Throughout history and time, one man has always found
himself superior to another, and the world of today still faces the problem of injustice.

For the simple reason that man craves superiority and injustice, human being suffer daily
with emotions and lack of necessities. If this continues, the world will end in war and starvation.
If it were a just world, war and depression would not be the bold headline that it is today. The
world is engulfed in the most complex obscurities, both social and economical, but the emotional
rupture of inequality has leaked its way into society, shattering the eyes of the persecutors, and
impairing the bodies of the persecuted.
