Planned and taught lessons for individual and small group instrumental lessons along with band
rehearsals at the middle and elementary school levels with Greg Lessard. Planned and taught
lessons for intermediate and advanced High School chorale groups, along with group voice
lessons and music theory with Bill Richter. Conducted five concerts among the Elementary,
Middle, and High School bands and choirs at the public schools and within the community.
Lessons were planned with obtainable objectives including engaging activities and examples
catering to a variety of learning styles. Lessons consistently use technology in the classroom to
further learning and maintain a safe learning environment where students are encouraged to take
academic risks. Higher Order Thinking questions are consistently used to ensure maximum
understanding and knowledge retention with every student.

YMCA Boston- Oak Square Summer Camp


Counselor

JUNE 2015-SEPT 2015

Ensured the safety of every child while monitoring activities in between classes, during lunch
hours, free time, and daily activities including swimming and locker room changes. Counselors
completed extensive training both online and on-site; along with monitoring students during all
activities, counselors acted as support to administration of the camp and the YMCA facility.
Counselors were required to complete CPR and First Aid certification.

The Movement @ Berklee College of Music

Manage and run The Movement @ Berklee, a student-led volunteer program that uses music as a
medium for community building and social change through the student body, staff, alumni, and
faculty. Supervise four coordinators of The Movement, assign tasks, create/plan/oversee and host
volunteer events within the community, find volunteers (or fulfill the position) for
workshops/clinics/performances within the community, work closely with directors and leaders
within the community to establish new relationships between various cultures and age groups. The
Movement is a Non Profit Organization within the Community Affairs and Campus Engagement
Office at Berklee College of Music.

Design and build lighting and stage sets for The Murdock Manor Presents, a production company
providing music/recordings/lighting etc. throughout Boston, Stage hand during Murdock Manor
shows throughout Boston, clerical/office duties for President of The Murdock Manor including
email and social media networking as well as organization of show call sheets and band line ups.
The Murdock Manor Presents is the production team for the International company, Sofar Sounds
(http://sofarsounds.com/) Boston based branch.

Group Music Workshops

Facilitate music workshops at local organizations around Boston that benefit the community:
Perkins School for the Blind: Coordinated a music series for the students at Perkins
Deaf-blind program (Watertown, MA) consisting of three music workshops hosted by
Berklee Music Education and Music Therapy students and faculty. Workshops were held
throughout April 2015.
The Home for Little Wanderers: Built and hosted a two-hour music class for orphans at
The Home for Little Wanderers.
