PRAISES
1. In August our church membership increased by five, three of which were by
baptism. Unfortunately two members were excluded from the church roll
during the month, but we currently have 35 members, most of which are
stable.
2. We have steadily made progress
towards meeting the citys fire-safety
code in our church building with the
installation of several handrails and the addition and directional
change of doors. The church has been able to invest a few thousand
dollars on this project and anticipates its completion soon with the
installation of several fire-extinguishers and emergency lights. I
know this is not terribly exciting missionary news, but it is part of the real work here in which significant
time has been invested.

3. Conceio, who trusted the Lord in our ministry about thirty years ago,
recently sent us a picture of her Sunday School class in a distant state.
Conceio never married and continues to be the only believer in her
immediate family of 14. However, she has a nephew in
the church who has come to Christ.
PRAYER REQUESTS

surgery in Winston-

1. Our son Micah, who is 25, is scheduled for back

Salem on November 2. He has struggled with this problem for
about ten years, but the pain has recently become intolerable.
Please pray for a successful surgery, permanent healing and
stable employment for which he trained at Liberty University.
2. Diego & Suzana were not able to accept our churchs invitation for pastoral
ministry due to her on-going health problems. After two recent brain surgeries,
Suzana has continued to suffer from severe headaches.

3. In the beginning of the year we asked the Lord to use our church to reach twelve
new members for Christ. We are praying that Luiz and Jennifer (on the left) will be a
part of that dozen. Luiz said he knows that they need Jesus, but after several
months attending our services they have not yet come to Him. Please pray that they will.
