Love and Sorrows of the Game

What is gender?
When compared to the love of the game,
Gender is not a choice, but the passion for the game is,
But gender is shaped, molded to young new minds,
Strings hang from children's joints to dance as society tells them
Men belong on the field, women belong at home.
Man, the one whose mind stands and pleads on his legs, doesnt care about equality
Women, the ones whose hearts are poured out just to be in first place
Moves, graceful, gentle, elegant, and FEMININE.
As society tells her, she is a woman, and that is her role
She doesnt belong on the field,
Where she wishes to stomp, she stands on her tiptoes
Always knowing that one misstep will be her demise.
Where she wishes to thrash, she glides across the floor.
A puppet bound by the hands of society, pushing, pushing
To free herself, to change what being a woman means,
The man, he is too castrated by the hands to be a MAN.
I am the example to others, and know how to do everything
I am a miracle, my leisure is playing sports
The game was made for champions,
Not little female angels.
The sorrow that this brings
The pain women feel,
Sometimes they forget the love they once had for the game.
But strip us down, wash away our skin, we are bare, we are the same,
INSIDE
Our love for the game will not be pushed aside!!!
