Cuff and Leg
Cast on 64 sts. Divide stitches of DPN’s (16 sts per needle). Join,
being careful not to twist. Begin knitting with K2, P2 for 1”.
Beginning with needle 1, knit chart until desired leg length is
achieved.

Heel (worked on needles 1 & 2, across 32 sts)

sts)
Begin short row heel shaping:
Row 1: Knit across needles 1 & 2. Turn.
Row 2: YO (yarn over). Purl across. Turn.
Row 3: YO. Knit across to stitch before wrap. Turn. (this creates
what is called a “pair” of stitches.)
Row 4: YO. Purl across to stitch before
before wrap.

Repeat rows 3 & 4 until you have 8 “pairs” on each needle.

Turn heel:
Row 1: Turn. Knit across to 1st stitch of 1st “pair”, knit 1st stitch.
Turn.
Row 2: YO. Purl across to 1st stitch of the 1st “pair”, purl 1st
stitch. Turn.
Row 3: YO. Knit across
across to the 2 YO’s, slip each YO as if to knit,
and pass back to left needle. K3tog. Turn.
Row 4:YO. Purl across to the 2 YO’s, P3tog.

Repeat rows 3 & 4 until you have 2 YO’s per needle. Now you
knit 16 sts back onto needle 1 (total of 18 sts, including 2
YO’s), and knit 16 sts back onto needle 2, slipping 2 YO’s onto
needle 3.
Instep:
On needles 1 & 2 knit across all stitches.
On needle 3, slip the 2 YO’s as if to knit, and pass back to left
needle. Begin working chart again by K3tog and knitting
across.
On needle 4 work chart by knitting across to last stitch. Slip
last stitch to needle 1, and K3tog back onto needle 4.
Continue to work chart until desired instep length is achieved.

Toe:
Rnd 1:
On needles 1 & 3: K1, ssk, knit across.
On needles 2 & 4: Knit
Knit across to last 3 stitches, K2tog, K1.
Rnd 2:
Knit all stitches.

Repeat rnds 1 & 2 until you have 4 stitches per needle. Kitchner
and weave in ends.
