appear in cangehgar (carita ngeunah dan segar)
comedy?

The descriptive qualitative research was used because of several advantages
includes inductive, holistic, emic, subjective and process- oriented
methods used to understand, interpret, describe and develop a theory on a
phenomena or setting (Burns & Grove 2003, p. 356).
The instruments on this study were dialogue transcript of cangehgar comedy.
there are several steps that were conducted by the researcher:
1. The writer start the study by downloading the audio (the cangehgar MP3) from;
https://aslisunda.wordpress.com/bobodoran/ on 1st June 2015
2. The writer listen the audio;
3. The writer select the episodes that will be transcribed;
4. The writer took a note for make the monologue transcript;
5. The writer analyzed the transcript based on Implicature-based jokes theory;
6. The writer describing the result.
7. The data were analyze by using descriptive quantitative and content analysis

The data analysis used Padan method. It means that the data were analyzed
outside from point of view of language itself such as structure, phoneme,
etc.) (Sudaryanto, 1993 p. 13-15)

METHOD
The transcript was analyzed by using classification of Implicaturebased jokes that was conducted by (Higashimori, 2008). The
classifications of implicature-based jokes are:
A joke which comes from two contradictory implicatures;
A joke which comes from an absurd assumption;
A joke which is from an absurd implicature; and

Cangehgar comedy

joke was created Based on parallel processing

CONCLUSIONS AND
RECOMMENDATIONS

The results on this study show first and the second cangehgar episodes are
the joke that based on two contradictory assumptions. But in the last
episode the classification that was found is joke which is based on
parallel processing
Since the study only focus on analyzing the implicature-based jokes
classifications that appear in cangehgar (carita ngeunah dan segar)
comedy, and because cangehgar comedy is well known by Sundanese
people, it will be better if the future research try to analyze the other
aspects of pragmatics related to cangehgar comedy. .
