1. Us Against The World - Christina Milian
(A) This song represents Romeos character in Romeo and Juliet. From Romeos
perspective in the story, he would do anything for Juliet because he is so in love
with her. To the audience, it seems as if Romeo and Juliet are actually against
the world because they don't let anybody stop them from being together. For
example, in Act 2 Scene 2 Lines 67-74 Juliet questions why Romeo would risk
his life coming to her balcony and he says that With loves light wings did I
oerperch these walls, For stony limits cannot hold love out. Not even tall, stone
walls can keep Romeo away from Juliet and in the end of the play, they both died
for each other.

2. What Ive Done - Linkin Park

(A) This song fits the characterization of Friar Lawrence because he married
Romeo and Juliet, and that started all of the tragedies in the play. The Friar knew
that he made a lot of mistakes like marrying them and giving Juliet the potion,
and in the end he admitted to causing most of the problems leading to their
death. To me, it seemed like the Friar really did not mean for things to go badly, I
think that he just wanted to help them and it really was a mistake. In the last
scene, lines 242-244 the Friar says I married them, and their stoln marriage day
Was Tybalts doomsday, whose untimely death.

3. You're Beautiful - James Blunt

(B) The theme that men only love with their eyes in Romeo and Juliet, is
represented by this song really well because it says how the author saw a girls
face and fell in love, just as Romeo did at the party when he first saw Juliet. In
Act 1, Scene 5, Lines 46-49 Romeo says What ladys that which doth enrich the
hand. Of yonder knight?, which was the first thing he said when he saw Juliet
and ever since then he has been following his eyes instead of his head.

4. Sad Piano Instrumental Song - "True love" Music

(C) This song has a very sad and dramatic sound and it corresponds well with
the scene at the end of the play when Romeo saw Juliet lying in the tomb dead.
The scene had a very serious and sad mood and the songs slow and quiet piano
music fits it perfectly because of how tragic it was for both Romeo and Juliet to
see the person that they love dead.

5. "Unstoppable"- Epic Fight Beat

This song could fit with the scene where Romeo and Tybalt were fighting
because it had a very suspenseful and serious mood and the song is very creepy
and sounds like a type of beat that they would listen to in their time period.

6. Dont Fear The Reaper - Blue Oyster Cult

This song relates to the plot of the play because in the end Romeo and Juliet
both killed themselves for each other without even thinking twice about it. They
both were so in love that they didn't think it was worth living at all without each
other. In the last scene, they both took their lives and at the balcony scene in
lines 67-74 Act 2, Scene 2 Romeo said that nothing can hold his love back which
he proved when he died for Juliet.

7. Bad Blood - Taylor Swift

This song is about rivalry and it represents the hate between the two families in
Romeo and Juliet. In Act 1, Scene 5 Lines 69-71 Tybalt says that Romeo is a
Montague and a foe. This is the first thing said by Tybalt to show that he hates
Montague's, and it is the reason that Romeo and him got into a fight.
