Mrs.FischerLanguageArts

This week we have started in on Lesson 16. This story,

The Real Vikings,
is informational and focuses on the ancient
Viking culture. We have been practicing our vocabulary words and have been working on comparing and contrasting.
Next week we will continue with our Lesson 16 story. We will be testing over the story and the vocabulary words on
Thursday, January 14. Any retakes that need to be done for these tests will have to be done on Friday, January 15th.
Retakes for these tests can be done before school, after school, or during a guided study if they have one that Friday.
Unfortunately, all retakes must be done that day due to the end of the 2nd quarter.
*On a side note, I will be going on maternity leave sometime in the near future. I plan on being here until Jan. 15 ( my
due date is Jan. 18), but obviously I wont know for sure. The students long term substitute is Mr. Harms. He will be
taking over communication with you at whatever point I take leave.
