dynamicintellectualandsocialenvironmentandtoencourageasenseofcommunityamong
membersoftheCollege,theaffiliatedfacultyFellows,theCollegeStaff,andtheResidenceHall
staff.Inordertothrivefromthediversityofthemembers,ShepardResidentialCollegeshall
provideopportunitiesthroughacademic,social,culturalandphilanthropicprogramming.

ArticleI:TheCollege

A.ThemembersoftheCollegeshallincludeallpersonssatisfyingfinancialandselectivity
obligationstheCollegeStaff,ResidenceHallCoordinator,andResidentialAssistantsshallbe
considerednonvotingmembers

B.Membersshallhaveonevoteinallelectionsandreferenda

C.FinalauthorityinallCollegemattersrestswiththemembersoftheCollege

D.Allvotingmembersmaybeofficers.However,onlyinhousemembersmaybeExecutive
Boardofficersunlessotherwisespecified

E.Quorumshallconstituteofallvotingmembersofanygovernmentbodyorcommittee
1.ThisquorummustincludethePresident,theVicePresident,and/orthecommitteehead
2.Novotemaybetakenwithoutquorum

ArticleII:TheExecutiveBoard

A.TheExecutiveBoardshallconsistofallelectedmembersandappointedmembersas
indicatedinArticleIV,RHC,andCollegeStaff

B.Shallberesponsibleforupholdingandpromotingtheprinciplesandmissionofthe
College,aswellaslaunchingsocialactivities

C.Shallconveneonceaweek

D.AllpresentvotingExecutiveBoardmembers,excludingexofficiomembers,getonevote

E.AvotemaybemadebyExecutiveBoardmemberseitherinpersonorbyphone/videocall

F.MembersoftheExecutiveBoardwhoaredeemedunexcusedfromtwomeetingsduringone
quartershallmeetwiththepresidentandvicepresidentabouttheircontributionstoExecBoard.
Athirdunexcusedabsenceshallentailameetingwiththefacultychair.Inthecasethatthe

Board.IfthechargeisagainstthePresident,thepetitionshallbesubmittedtotheVice
PresidentandthenpresentedtotheExecutiveBoard

C.ThePresidentorVicePresidentshallinformtheofficerinquestionofthepetitionfiledagainst
