TELL ME ABOUT YOURSELF (1:45)

I am Parnil Singh studying Chemical Engg in IIT-D. Before landing at IIT Delhi,
I studied in eleven different schools spread over nine states. I read Harry
Potter and Eragon till I watched a televised interview of an All-India Topper
which motivated to go all out and emerge as All India CBSE Class X topper
among 8 lakh students. This further motivated me to give a crack at IIT, JEE
and study at IIT, Delhi. Here, I diversified my activities and participated in
The National Choreography Dance Competition and Inter-IIT Sports meet.
This helped me in gaining an array of coveted skills like endurance,
discipline, rigor and a strong sense of team spirit. I was also member of
organizing team in the two biggest festivals of IIT-D i.e. Rendezvous and
Tryst. I led teams of over 20 students and dealt with conflicts, managing and
accommodating diverse personalities to achieve commendable results under
extreme stress. I have developed healthy and confident leadership skills.
Despite, serious involvement in extra-curricular activities, I secured research
scholarship at IIT-D. I would like to add that due to landing at a new place
every one or two years during my school days, I have grown up to be no
only adaptable but capable of excelling in new and unknown environment. I
have been a consistent achiever since childhood and I hope to continue this
amazing fruitful journey with (FIRMS NAME)
Weaknesses:
Growing up without siblings during my school days, I was a little introvert.
After coming to IIT, I participated in activities involving team-work and
leadership. I was the hostel captain of the Quizzing and Swimming teams.
These activities made me interact with friends routinely and I could
overcome introversion.
Strengths:
My biggest strengths are my enthusiasm, diligence and adaptability. I have
excelled not only in academics, but in dancing, swimming, debating, quizzing
and leadership. I believe in pursuing my goals with passion and strongly
believe in the quote: Nothing is to be feared, it is only to be understood
I am always an energetic team member as well as a team leader.
