Academic / Career Interest: I plan on going to Kennesaw State University. There, I
plan on joining the nursing program. Hopefully with hard work and dedication, I will
become a Pediatric Nurse. While a nurse, I plan to work and go back to school so that I
can work my way up towards a Pediatrician.
Awards that I have won: Rock Award, Honors
Community Involvement: I volunteer in the community through BETA club. We do
various jobs for those in need of help. Over the summer, I volunteer as an Assistant
Youth Facilitator Volunteer at a summer camp in Brooklyn, New York. I assist the kids
and the teacher with learning, all while making education fun.

Dazzling Diva Day Spa- As a party host, I am in charge of providing an excellent party
for young girls through manicures, pedicures, facials, make up, dress up, fashion
shows, and more.

Has any a summer experience, work, or study been of significance to you? Yes
Explain.
Volunteering at the CAMBA summer camp has had the greatest affect on me. It truly
tests my leadership skills. The young kids there look up to me to lead them in the right
direction, and they also come to me with their problems. It makes me feel a sense of
pride to know that I am a big factor in their lives.
What do you consider to be your greatest strengths? Explain.
I think my greatest strength is my dependability. In any situation, I feel it is key to give
my best effort. With that, I know I am very dependable to resolve any situation given
to me with my best work.
What do you consider to be your weaknesses? Explain.
My weakness is my quiet nature. I am more of a learner than a speaker which can
sometimes be more bad than good.

Ambitious- I am very focused on my goals, and work my hardest to achieve

them.

A major setback in my life was my parents divorce. It was a tough time for me, but I
used my anger and channeled it into something that will benefit my success. Instead of
wallowing, I decided to make both my parents and I proud.
Who or what has been the biggest influence on your life? Why? Please be original
and give a thorough explanation.
My biggest influence on my life is my niece Mya. She was more of my little sister, being
born exactly 10 years after I was. I taught her everything she knew and I was there for
her every step of the way. She passed away in 2008. Her loss tore me into pieces and

broke me down. I knew that she wouldnt want to be sad because she would
constantly tell me to smile whenever she saw me down. She taught me that even
through the toughest journeys, I must smile.
In one paragraph, describe why a college should choose you over another student.
What do you think you have to offer or how will you benefit?
A college should choose me because not only will I work to benefit myself but also to
benefit the college. I will work hard to leave a lasting legacy and increase on the
college before I go. It could be through academics, clubs, sports, etc., but itd be my
goal to leave a path of leadership.
In one paragraph, explain why you should receive the scholarship and how this
organization / company will benefit from your receiving the monies.
I believe I should receive the scholarship because I will not take it for granted. Most
students have to pay thousands for their education, so to even have a little help is a
blessing. Id achieve my education to the fullest, and continue to use the scholarship to
the best of my ability by sharing my knowledge to others after I complete school.
