2) Transition from platform to car should be as smooth as possible.

5.C.1 Underframe,

In order to increase thermal and sound insulation, floor should be around


25mm thick.

steel sheet of underframe by synthetic resin floor packing material.

2) Doors shall be controlled from trainline signals initiated by the
operator and shall be provided with an obstruction detection system
for passenger protection during the door-closing cycle.
3) Doors shall also be able to be operated manually from pushbuttons
located adjacent to the doors.

5.C.4.5 Gangway
1) Gangway shall be designed in such a way that there is no large level
difference between cars so that passengers can safely pass through.
2) Area designated for wheelchair space shall be provided in the rear
end of the cab car.

1) The end compression load shall be 490kN (50tf) [tensile: 343kN


(35tf)] under the total safety railway system.
2) Car ends shall be constructed to be a collision energy absorbing
structure.

Installation

Equipment

1) Equipment shall be unified by integrating devices, simplifying wiring


and piping, brake equipment and pre-installed cab equipment.
2) Trainlines and car wiring shall be minimized by utilizing TIS
3) Preventing electrical interference (preventing emission and improving
immunity) and increasing reliability and maintainability of equipment
shall be considered when introducing and choosing equipment.

5.D.1 Cab

1) Cab shall be reinforced structure and shall be separated from the


passenger cabin by a partition.
2) Structure and equipment shall be devised with crews safety and
comfort in mind.
3) Windshield shall be made of defogging safety glass and have
intermittent electric wiper with water spray.
